Sacred Sedition - Excerpt

The lie was powerful because it fed the woman’s deepest desire—to know God even more intimately. She was living according to his instructions, and life was great. But what if there was more to be experienced? What would that be like—to be just like God, to know everything as he knows it, both good and evil? Surely that would mean a deeper relationship with the Creator. That would be a good thing, right?
And so she ate.
Thus began the pattern of sacred sedition—disobeying God in an attempt to be closer to God.
